A Breath of Fresh Air

In a time when the majority of the world is worried about this ongoing economic downturn, it is refreshing to see that some are keeping things in perspective. I "stumbled" upon this today: (http://blog.statcounter.com/2008/10/).

I say "stumbled" because it was not a truly random google search or anything to that effect - I use statcounter to track my website statistics & read their blog occasionally - but that is neither here nor there...the important part is the message. While this credit crisis may be affecting all of us directly or indirectly, we are still the lucky ones. We have food, shelter, access to healthcare, and other freedoms that many do not.

If you are reading this, you ARE one of the lucky ones...take a moment to take stock of what you have & to consider those who are less fortunate than we are.

Sci Fi fanatics rejoice!

Straight out of You, Me and Dupree, our Say Hello to my little friend shirt lets you rock the same shirt as Owen Wilson did in the movie. But, for the love of everything holy, please don't act as pathetic as Dupree was!

You can forget arm-bars and guillotine chokes with this parody of the popular Sprawl fight gear line. Our Crawl fight gear shirt will have MMA fighters and fans alike tapping out due to laughter!

More New Designs!

It's been a little while since I posted about some of the new designs at Ten Shades of Awesome. I've been hard at work pumping out new designs & have 5 new ones to present!

The 1st shirt is for all you dieters or ex-dieters out there: I Love Carbs. Tired of dieting? Need a cheat day? Show your dislike for Atkins with this carb-friendly design!

Next up, we have the Wingman shirt. Whether it's in the air or at the club, your friends will know you're willing to take one for the team when you sport this design!

The next design is one of my favourites: I see London, I See France, I see Johnny's underpants!. Take yourself back to the good ol' days in the school-yard with this funny design.

Following that, a design commemorating one of the most popular video games ever: Asteroids. Unforunately, it won't bring back the multitude of quarters you spent at the arcade back then.

Lastly, the wild-west inspired Basic Math shirt should encourage even the baddest gunslingers to pay attention during math class!

Stay in your own lane! - A mini rant

I consider myself to be a "good" driver. I pay attention to the road & traffic. I signal my turns & lane changes. I drive appropriately for varying weather conditions.

As a "good" driver, I'm at a loss as to reasoning to myself why so many people have trouble with something as simple as staying in their own lane. I can't count the number of times in a day that I find myself saying those words in the title...& I'm not driving all that much!

Recently, in my random surfing, I stumbled upon a website for those of us who are sick of bad drivers. Platewire lets you report the license plate of other bad drivers, along with a description of your beef with them. What a find!

New designs available @ Ten Shades Shop

I'm excited to announce 3 new designs available at my Ten Shades of Awesome Apparel shop.

The first is for you math types: I divide by zero. This shirt spells sure doom for us all & we'll know who's fault it was.

The second design is for fans of the movie Dodgeball. Patches O'Houlihan's finest moment: If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball! Truer words were never spoken for dodgeball players.

The last shirt I present to you today is for video game fanatics everywhere! Reminisce about the good ol' days of gaming action at the local arcade with this retro-inspired design. Pacman, Galaga, Space Invaders...all the classic Arcade games!
